😊 Well, nowadays a little farther west from where I started. I was born in Brooklyn (lived there for 12 years) and for 7 years lived in Suffolk County, where I spent some time out near Montauk doing some fishing and such. The memories remain with me. Montauk Point was a physical location for me and a metaphorical one. It marked the ending of something. So, it came up in this poem.

The South Shore is nice. We drove out there often enough to Massapequa (had relatives there with a boat 😁) Lindenhurst and other towns. Liked the water and the vibe out there.
