When I was five years old I resisted eating broccoli. I refused no matter what my mother would say. Now I eat it all the time. It changed when I decided to eat it.

Currently I resist social media. I fundamentally don't like it because it feels fake. Not 100% of the time, not saying that, but intrinsically fake. Like people are doing and saying and posting photos with an ulterior motive.

Not to get everyone to enjoy those almond Christmas cookies, but gain followers and such. There's always this "other" reason for doing something rather than just - Merry Christmas.

I dug my heels in on this point years ago, maybe they're just stuck now and hard to change - not sure. But was Twitter envisioned to influence people, to sway their opinions or was it just to communicate quickly and have fun?

Facebook - sorry don't see an upside.

Sorry, George, I went off on a tangent here. I actually agree with everything you said - thought you wouldn't know it from the above. But at heart I am a pragmatist. I just balk at using social media to sell myself, my ideas and such and yet I know I need to do it. Maybe just like broccoli, I need to change my mind. We'll see. 😁👍
