When someone asks - How are you? And you answer fine, when you're not, is that a lie?

I agree with you, lies are not a healthy practice. But truth is elusive.

It's a moving target at times, because it is often subjective. We often confuse opinion for truth. I think Frank isn't a very nice person. It's an opinion that may also be the truth - or nowhere near it. Twenty people might love Frank, think he's a great guy.

But it's your truth.

For some the truth is merely an extension of observation. I thought they played a lousy game. Truth: score was 24-20, close game. Maybe they played the best game of their year.

I'm all for truth. Yearn to hear two consecutive sentences by a politician that are the truth.

Want to know for sure that Wall Street isn't a ponzie scheme. Tesla's had what - two years of profit and is now worth 10-20-30 times what General Motors is valued at, they've been profitable since 1913 or thereabouts.

Are big lies born of little lies? Probably. They certainly make them easier to spread.

Thought provoking article. Not sure where I end up with it - but it made me think. Cheers, Bill.
