When the Puritans arrived on our shores around 1600 they were running away from persecution in Europe. I think that's religious speak for - God these guys are way too prudish about sex, marriage, love, dance, eating, singing, you name it.

Any wonder why Europe continues to sigh in relief about such things while we over here - wince and moan and mutter Christ of a bike every time Sex is mentioned. Yes we have no issues whatever about using Boobs and Butts in advertising and in designing bathing suits (for women) but Nooooo we don't actually expect anything to happen as a result. We have 12-year-olds accessing Porn, but we can't talk to them about sex - because it's creepy and God is watching (and the Bishops) and we'll get in trouble. We're all rather loopy over here.

I remember the first time watching British TV shows & movies. Full frontal nude shots of women - no problem, with topless pics on page three of The Sun newspaper. But gun fights, showing a gun, was all edited out. They did everything except have TV detectives hold out a finger pistol and go - Bang bang at the bad guys. I guess they're loopy over there as well. Yeah, the Dutch, what can you say. 😊
