Wonderful tips my friend.

I'm not a perfectionist - don't think - but I can't write without going back for a reread. It's just my process. Early on I discovered that writing is like following a trail. A wrong paragraph acts like a misread sign and I'm off in the bushes. So I try to not end up there by liking or agreeing with what I just wrote. Without spending a lot of time trying for the perfect verb. I leave that stuff for the next day or week, when I give it a fresh read.

I wrote a non-fiction book about 15+ years ago and tried to get it published. Didn't go anywhere. I hear it calling out to me from my closet every now & then. A lament really - need to do something about it.

Thanks for this, George. I'll leave you with as quote.
