Yeah, that just about sums it up, Thomas.

Aging, aka growing old, is not the real problem as I see it. It's the face we have in mind every time we look into a mirror. We look and compare what is to what was and all of this happens in our mind. We create the problem by thinking it was a better face, a more handsome face and all the while we are thinking just like we did 50 years ago and that screws up our gyroscopics. How can "I" be this sagging thing when I remember leaping and laughing and climbing trees and Suzette in the backseat of my father's Chevy and …. it can't be.

It is. Maybe if we stop thinking about it, just let go, as you say, it would be better. And also stop watching those F**king commercials on anti-aging cremes, and rhinoplasty and buttplasty and let it be. 😁
