Years ago I mastered the know-how needed to open doors and turn on lights - and yet, to this day I have trouble with some. Some doors are finnicky and jam a lot, some lights dim or won't when they're supposed to.

Mastering the energy within seems as natural or problem free as opening a door - but it isn't.

Our minds remember and they remember a lot. That time in third grade when you got the wrong answer and others laughed. The phone call you got canceling your prom date because your date's great aunt (the one she didn't know she had) was coming into town and everyone was going out to dinner and . .

It also remembers the good things - all of them. But sometimes these memories compete and we get stuck thinking about ones we shouldn't and our spiritual energy becomes drained and we worry it won't return. It will. In fact it has no choice because we are that spiritual energy. It's always there. But we forget. We focus on the blues, the isolation, the daughter who won't return your calls and worry. That's the crazy train and the sad part - is that it's no more accessible than the peace train. We just have to remember that.
