Years ago, I thought I'd never be a salesman. Hated the idea of "being sold" anything. Then one day the need arose and I started and succeeded at it - by never "selling" anyone anything. I just asked questions. How are you? Is that a Mickey Mantle autograph - on and on. I'm curious by nature. I want to know things so questions are the key to satisfying that itch. It was never fake. I wanted to know how they caught that trophy fish on their wall.
