Younger people could use the wisdom we’ve garnered (at a cost) and we could use their enthusiasm for tackling major issues.

I agree with this 100%. And the kicker is — we all know this. We all know how to work together and when we do — great strides are made. This constant antagonism between generations is in the way — and suspiciously being created.

The Peace movement of the 60s had a lot of valid points — still valid today. We just need to remember what they were — push play — and try them again.
